Hexmas 2021 Bumper

This was a project developed over November-December 2021 during my 3D Generalist internship at Hexbug. I worked with a team composed of interns Hannah Kuehn, Aravind Menon, Jimmy Leach, Alexis Herrington, and myself. The final compositing was done in After Effects by Zach Wood, with sound design by Chris Semmelbeck. Tyler McCrary is the voice of Santa.

We worked alongside the creative director of the company to develop ideas for a 2021 holiday ad. I was responsible for implementing these ideas into a 2D animatic, working with the team to create lists of necessary assets, and balancing the responsibilities of this project in addition to our other daily tasks.

I worked on most of the background environment and lighting, and animated shot 004 (highlighted in a separate clip below). I also created an n-cloth simulation for the milk pour and did frame corrections on some shots with geometry errors.

The bumper was put on the Hexbug social media accounts on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, and was run as a sponsored ad on these platforms.
